Admiral Movers, Montgomery, Ala., has been appointed an agent for Mayflower Transit. The appointment was announced by Steven J. Dawkins, executive vice president of Mayflower.

Admiral Movers is located at 1200 Newell Parkway. Scott McNelley is president of the agency. The agency has been in business for 17 years. To provide increased storage capacity, Admiral Movers moved to the new warehouse on Newell Parkway in North Montgomery Industrial Park last year. It has increased staff and will add more to accommodate the higher volume of moves anticipated with the new Mayflower connection. Admiral Movers also recently branched out into the records storage business with a new division, Admiral Records Management.

Admiral Movers will handle both inbound and outbound moves for the Central Alabama area. The change to Mayflower Transit comes just in time for the nation's busiest moving season, which officially begins on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day, said McNelley.
