ST. LOUIS – Mayflower Transit, one of the oldest and most recognized names in moving, was named No. 47 on the Top 250 For-Hire Carriers List by Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ) magazine. The CCJ Top 250 ranks the 250 largest for-hire trucking companies based on analysis of revenues, equipment and employment.

Now in its second year, the CCJ Top 250 replaced the Top 100, which was published for nearly 40 years. The Top 100 was strictly a revenue-based ranking. While CCJ states that revenue is a reasonable basis for ranking carriers, as it is an indication of a company’s success with the shipper community, it is not the only important metric.
