Hill's Van Service Celebrates 10th Anniversary
as Local Mayflower Transit Agent
Family-owned business proud of community involvement, employee accomplishments

OCALA, Fla. – This month marks the tenth anniversary of Hill’s Van Service of Marion County as a local Mayflower agent. The company, founded by William C. Hill in 1951, has enjoyed its status as a Mayflower agent since 1997. Hill’s family is now in its third generation of owning and fourth generation of operating this moving and storage company, known for its capacity to meet customers’ needs, a commitment to quality, advanced technology and excellent customer service. Current owners, J.D. and Mary Hall, have also added two additional business units since purchasing the company, including Tri-County Records Management Center, Inc.

“My grandfather built this company on the principle that we will treat our customers like our own family and give back to our community,” said Mary Hall, co-owner of Hill’s Van Service. “We are proud of our accomplishments as a Mayflower agent over the past ten years and look forward to many more.”

Hill’s Van Service employees have been recognized for several key sales accomplishments over the past ten years, including:

  • J.D. Hall – Salesperson of the Month (2003, 2005), Sales Achievement Award for Household Goods (2000, 2001, 2002)
  • Mary Hall – Flagship Sales Award for Household Goods (1997)
  • John VanArsdale – Masters Club for Outstanding Sales Achievement (2005), Salesperson of the Month (2002)

In addition to the numerous employee achievements, Hill’s Van Service was also recognized with an honorable mention for the Customer Choice Award in 2006, the Heart of Quality award in 2005 and 2006 and the Significant Growth award in 1997. The moving and storage company has been a member of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce for more than ten years.

Hill’s Van Service also celebrated the recent accomplishment of Rodney Wooten, a household goods van operator, who was named as Mayflower Transit Van Operator of the Year. Since joining Hill’s in 2005, Wooten’s accomplishments include driving 55,218 miles in the past year, declaring a remarkable .01 percent claims liability and achieving a 95.4 percent overall customer service rating.

“Rodney’s accomplishments reflect the type of service we strive to provide each of our customers,” said Hall. “We take pride in our business and dedication to outstanding customer service and commitment to the Ocala community.”
