Continental Joins Mayflower Family
Leading moving and storage company now backed by strength of Mayflower

SEATTLE – Continental, a Seattle-based moving and storage company, is now an agent Mayflower Transit in the Puget Sound area. For 56 years, Continental has focused on developing and delivering seamless, safe, secure, value-driven moving and storage solutions, to fulfill the varied requirements of their corporate, government, and residential customers.

“Increased customer service, equipment and technology upgrades, and business development advantage all influenced our decision to pursue a new van line relationship,” said Ginnie Blaine, vice president of Continental. Blaine, along with her brother Greg, is a co-owner of Continental.

“People trust us,” said Greg Blaine. “Our family founded the company in 1952. We work hard to set the industry standard.” Recognized as Alaska specialists, Continental also serves local, interstate and international destinations. The company maintains operational service centers and storage facilities in Seattle, Tacoma, Anchorage and Fairbanks.

“Continental has a rich heritage as a second-generation family business,” said Ginnie Blaine. “We’ve become the industry leader in each market we serve.”

Continental has invested in an extensive company-wide makeover that includes a new logo and brand promise, the development of new interactive Web site premiering in June 2008, advanced employee training, the latest technology and newly painted equipment that proudly bears the Mayflower name. As part of the new affiliation, Continental will become a shareholder of UniGroup, Inc., the St. Louis-based parent of Mayflower Transit, which is among the nation’s largest privately owned firms.

The new Mayflower agent has locations in Seattle and Tacoma, Wash., and Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. For more information about Continental, visit www.continentalvan.com.
