DENVER – In honor of Thanksgiving, Mayflower Transit agent Buehler Moving & Storage is partnering with KEZW 1430 AM and Homefront Heroes, a military support group, for a unique food drive called “Fill the Mayflower.”

The event will kick off at Aspen Academy in Littleton, Colo., on Nov. 13, with a food drive from 1 to 3 p.m., benefiting the families of the troops stationed at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colo. Buehler Moving & Storage will provide a Mayflower moving van that Aspen Academy students will fill with food donations. In addition to collecting donations, the school has developed a program for students to learn about pilgrims and the history and meaning behind Thanksgiving.

On Nov. 14, the same Mayflower van will “sail” to the Southlands Shopping Center at E-470 & Smokey Hill Road in Denver for a three-day food drive. Donors are encouraged to bring non-perishable goods to the Southlands Shopping Center where representatives from KEZW 1430 AM and Homefront Heroes will place the donations directly into the Mayflower moving van.
