ST. LOUIS – Each move is different. Some customers need flexibility in their moving date. Some want extra assurance that their heirloom dining furniture will arrive safely. Others wish a full-service moving company would take care of all the details - like setting up their electronics and arranging for utilities - when they arrive at their new home. With all the different needs of customers in mind, Mayflower Transit created On Point Preferred solutions, which address the unique needs of each family’s move.
Among many options, On Point Preferred offers flexible moving times, debris pickup and a partnership with tech support task force Geek Squad to help customers set up their computers and home entertainment systems after moving into a new home. Customers may choose from individual moving services or from seven relocation packages that provide a combination of the most frequently requested moving services at a reduced cost.
“The chaotic pace and changes of moving create stress on entire households,” said Bob McCabe, director of sales for Mayflower Transit. “We are excited to bring our customers added levels of service and protection during their transition into a new home. Partnerships with other companies, such as Geek Squad, make our customers’ moves that much easier.”
The following On Point Preferred services are available in a variety of combinations and service levels:
On Point Flagship Protection – If an item in a set is damaged and cannot be fixed or replaced to match the set, Mayflower will replace or pay for the entire set’s replacement value.
Destination Connection – Through a third-party concierge service, Mayflower assists with the small details, including gathering community information and setting up utility connections.
Date Change – Coordinating a move is a challenge. Mayflower’s date change service allows flexibility to change the date of moving without charge.
Destination Waiting Time – Being in the right place at the right time can be tough, so Mayflower movers will wait at the final move destination until the customer arrives.
Debris Pickup – After a move, customers have a lot of things on their minds – cleaning up packing supplies shouldn’t be one of them. Mayflower will pick up empty moving boxes and packing material waste.
PC Setup – Geek Squad will help customers get computer equipment ready to use – taking the hassle out of setting up a PC – and ensuring all equipment functions properly.
PC Networking – Geek Squad can install secured wireless networks for customers to share Internet, printers and files from anywhere at home.
Home Theater Setup – Mayflower customers can sit back, relax and let Geek Squad take the pain out of setting up a home theater system.
