As the economy slowly recovers, more Americans are packing up their belongings and moving to a new home. Mayflower, America’s most recognized name in moving, has seen a 15.5 percent increase in residential moves this year, when compared to the same period in 2009. The U.S. Census Bureau recently released its mobility statistics, which also indicate more people are relocating.
Summer is peak moving season. Approximately 43 million Americans relocate each year, and most of those moves happen between May and September.
