Overall I had a good experience. The only “hitch” was that I don’t remember being told exactly how to pay. I remember saying I could pay the driver. However, the driver said I had to pay with a certified check and could not take a personal check or credit card. He also said they could not start unloading until I handed over the certified check. That precipitated a run to the bank which would not open for another 30 minutes. Other than that, all else went well.

We've used Ray Moving before and had the same crew. They are polite, efficient, and careful.

Everyone from start to finish was helpful and nice. One lady did come to pack and was very sick, which was a worry for my elderly parents. Otherwise all great. Oh, you might keep a drill and some basic tools on your trucks.

Was very pleased with the work crews performance. I had a long carry on the receiving end and this did not detire their performance in any way. Every appointment was performed on time and I always received a phone call letting me know what to expect. very satisfied. thank you.

The man who came to my home to do the estimate was very personable and efficient. Mayflower was able to schedule my requested moving dates, with only a 2-day spread between loading and unloading. The manager was helpful answering questions and having boxes delivered before my move. The crews were very friendly and conscientious on both ends of the move. Three major items of damage included a bedframe that cracked, a floor lamp that was bent, and a box marked fragile that must have been dropped because everything in it was broken. Otherwise, everything arrived in good condition except for some scratches.

Good overall experience, it was a little back and forth with estimates but once things were finalized it went pretty smooth. The move crew did a fantastic job both loading and unloading.

Driver very courteous and helpful. The half day unloader was more prone to shirk work than attack it. He dropped 4-5 boxes causing some breakage.

The truck had clutch problems which delayed delivery 2 days. The delivery men were courteous and very concerned about our belongings. The did not scratch or dent the furniture or walls. Although I rated Mayflower s 4, it does not reflect on the great service by the liver men.

See prior comments I made it clear to Bill that I knew nothing about handling cross country move. He did excellent job on estimate but did not help with advice on what I needed to do & any kind of schedule to which I could refer. Valuable time spent for me would be thorough review of all printed material. At the least showing me corresponding pages to valuable info for me to learn. Other company agent as thorough but estimate was much too high. Mayflower printed booklet better but needed to be shown to me & not just left in folder.

Bill C (the estimator) is a great salesman. I chose MF because of him. I had obtained 4 estimates and MF was not the lowest. However, his estimate was extremely low and even though this was a "guaranteed price" I was subsequently charged another $500. The office staff were very unresponsive for delivering boxes for me to pack leaving me little time to do so. After I was coerced to agreeing to pay more (without the amount being specified!) the packers packed in an expansive way - sometimes putting a single item in a box that clearly could have held much more safely. Sometime using large quantities of paper for small items that were neither delicate not even breakable. There were scratches on furniture and some items did get broken - even if they were minor. The magnet closures on the entertainment center doors were mostly broken. These things - especially the ransom demand for additional payment was outrageous and inconsistent with their promise to "treat me fairly"!

Easy to get in contact with the different people involved in the move. Move in/out days went smoothly - the team kept to the timeframes promised. Three items were damaged in the move. I have yet to fill out a report, and I have not had any experience with solving the issues, but I am hopeful that they will be resolved to my satisfaction.

Everything was fine until I got to destination. Mover's helper wasn't at his best but that doesn't mean he can throw things around and damage boxes.

It was a great move. Arrived on time to load. Quick load and then arrived at destination on time with an uneventful unload.

The movers who loaded were fast and helpful. The estimate was accurate and the man who unloaded the truck also did a great job. Everything was handled with cae.
