Ray Moving and team did a great job from start to finish. Professional, competent, and very customer-oriented. Can't say enough good things about Dan, our van driver, who transported our belongings 3,000 miles from one side of the country to the other.

Everything was perfect except the unpacking service. I won't choose this option again. Not that you guys did anything, but because we couldn't put things away fast enough so we ended the day with hundreds of small items laying everywhere...everywhere. Next time I move, I will unpack each box one at a time and put things away at my own pace.

I could not have been more pleased with my long distance move from North Carolina to Portland, Oregon. Paul Hager and his support team were efficient and available when I called with questions or help. The packers arrived on time and were very careful with packing lamps, pictures and mirrors. The driver, Rick Lance, couldn’t have been nicer and so professional. He handled each piece with such care and because I had two drop offs, he couldn’t have been more organized . He stayed in touch with me throughout the journey and i knew when to expect his arrival. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was unpacked and placed with care. I couldn’t have been more pleased with Ray’s Moving and the Mayflower company. They made a very stressful move smoother than I could have imagined and highly recommend them for local and especially long distance moves.

Everyone was professional and I felt very well informed throughout the whole process. Moving is stressful so it's important to have the kind of easy experience with the company you're trusting with your belongings and who you invite into your home(s).

We requested a pickup in Virginia on Friday and a delivery on the following Tuesday. This was acceptable to Ray Moving and Storage. The crew showed up exactly on time to load and were extremely careful in wrapping and loading our HHGs. They were also the same crew (2 of the 3) that unloaded in Georgia at exactly when they said they would. They were more than helpful in placing our items where we asked and even relocating then when we changed our mind. They were cheerful and energetic the whole time they were there. The crew leader, Abas(sp) was very congenial as was his co-worker. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who wanted a smooth uneventful move.

I received a "guessament" for 4 containers and only used 3. I asked for a refund for the difference. I am still waiting for a phone call back. My furniture was picked up June 20 in NC. I received it July 6 in PA. I slept on the floor for 7 days longer than anticipated. The men who packed and unpacked my items were terrific. But when I called to find out WHEN my items will be delivered, she had to make a phone call to FIND OUT WHERE THEY WERE!!! I chose Mayflower for their reputation. I am a bit disappointed!! I was quoted for one price and still paid for something I did not use. The waiting for my things in PA. I took 2 weeks of vacation so I could unpack and get my father settled. I had 4 days to do this!! Before I had to leave to return to NC to close on my house there. Stressful time and not too sure it was necessary. I would appreciate a phone call back for an explanation. Everyone from start to finish was helpful and nice. One lady did come to pack and was very sick, which was a worry for my elderly parents. Otherwise all great. Oh, you might keep a drill and some basic tools on your trucks.

Was very pleased with the work crews performance. I had a long carry on the receiving end and this did not detire their performance in any way. Every appointment was performed on time and I always received a phone call letting me know what to expect. very satisfied. thank you.

Gentleman that did our estimate was very efficient and timely with all communications. Move coordinator was not helpful at all. I had to call her to get the promised paper work, finally had to go to the office to get necessary paperwork completed. Crew that packed and loaded the truck were great as was the crew that unloaded our belongings here. We thought our goods would be kept in the same truck with other moves coming to Colorado - this was not the case. our goods were unloaded and reloaded on a different truck. The day of unloading several items were missing, we are still trying to determine what has been lost. The Driver did find two pieces after unloading the rest of his truck and will deliver those pieces on 8/11.

The man who came to my home to do the estimate was very personable and efficient. Mayflower was able to schedule my requested moving dates, with only a 2-day spread between loading and unloading. The manager was helpful answering questions and having boxes delivered before my move. The crews were very friendly and conscientious on both ends of the move. Three major items of damage included a bedframe that cracked, a floor lamp that was bent, and a box marked fragile that must have been dropped because everything in it was broken. Otherwise, everything arrived in good condition except for some scratches.

I have moved 10 times using a professional moving company. This was by far the worst. Disorganized, damage, just an overall disaster that will take me weeks to recover from if I ever find everything. It concluded with the driver running over and destroying my neighbor's brick and stone mail box. Lost parts, scratched furniture, marred hardwood floors that had just been refinished. Very unprofessional from start to finish--I could write a book.

Good overall experience, it was a little back and forth with estimates but once things were finalized it went pretty smooth. The move crew did a fantastic job both loading and unloading.

The actual packers and movers were excellent. However the actual move from NC to IL was horrible. I was told that my furniture would be delivered between the 12-17 of June. The spread of dates was because I would probably be on a truck with other families. I was ok with that. I traveled to Illinois on the 10th of June and stayed with friends to wait for my belongings. On Wednesday June 14 I called the Mayflower dealer in NC to see if my stuff had left NC for IL. To my surprise I was told that it was still in short term storage in NC awaiting another family to accommodate the truck going to IL. Jessica said she would call me after she checked with Corporate to see the status. I was then told later that a family from VA was going to the Chicago area and that I would be on that truck. My new date of delivery was now the 20th. To make things worse the Chicago family was delivered first and me second. I am south of Chicago so they passed me by and delivered her first. Not ok

Driver very courteous and helpful. The half day unloader was more prone to shirk work than attack it. He dropped 4-5 boxes causing some breakage.

The truck had clutch problems which delayed delivery 2 days. The delivery men were courteous and very concerned about our belongings. The did not scratch or dent the furniture or walls. Although I rated Mayflower s 4, it does not reflect on the great service by the liver men.

See prior comments I made it clear to Bill that I knew nothing about handling cross country move. He did excellent job on estimate but did not help with advice on what I needed to do & any kind of schedule to which I could refer. Valuable time spent for me would be thorough review of all printed material. At the least showing me corresponding pages to valuable info for me to learn. Other company agent as thorough but estimate was much too high. Mayflower printed booklet better but needed to be shown to me & not just left in folder.

Bill C (the estimator) is a great salesman. I chose MF because of him. I had obtained 4 estimates and MF was not the lowest. However, his estimate was extremely low and even though this was a "guaranteed price" I was subsequently charged another $500. The office staff were very unresponsive for delivering boxes for me to pack leaving me little time to do so. After I was coerced to agreeing to pay more (without the amount being specified!) the packers packed in an expansive way - sometimes putting a single item in a box that clearly could have held much more safely. Sometime using large quantities of paper for small items that were neither delicate not even breakable. There were scratches on furniture and some items did get broken - even if they were minor. The magnet closures on the entertainment center doors were mostly broken. These things - especially the ransom demand for additional payment was outrageous and inconsistent with their promise to "treat me fairly"!

Easy to get in contact with the different people involved in the move. Move in/out days went smoothly - the team kept to the timeframes promised. Three items were damaged in the move. I have yet to fill out a report, and I have not had any experience with solving the issues, but I am hopeful that they will be resolved to my satisfaction.

Everything was fine until I got to destination. Mover's helper wasn't at his best but that doesn't mean he can throw things around and damage boxes.

It was a great move. Arrived on time to load. Quick load and then arrived at destination on time with an uneventful unload.

The movers who loaded were fast and helpful. The estimate was accurate and the man who unloaded the truck also did a great job. Everything was handled with cae.
