It was a very tiring experience. I regard moving as similar to what it must be to go through the stage just before you go to Hell. I don't know if could have been made much better. I have moved numerous times before, but most were when I was younger and the arrangements and expense were covered by my employer. This one was different.

The organization and communication up front was good. The movers were not very careful. I had several boxes marked fragile, do not place anything on top - this was ignored. Boxes broke and collapse and all my dishes were broken.

Both Kathy Cofer, the coordinator at Daryl Flood and Adrian, the truck driver, were excellent in their communication and professionalism. Thanks to both of them our move was painless.

The overall move experience would have been better if the bed hardware was found and the beds were put together and placed where they needed to be. The workers were great but communication from leaving address to new address could have been better so they could find parts. A few pieces of furniture were damaged that meant a lot to us. We learned a lot from this experience.

The drover was amazing and took time to understand the move and where we needed everything. He an his crew was quick but cautionary and took time to properly load the truck. If they were concerned about something, they brought it to our attention.

The driver, Frank, and his two crews really made the difference. Polite to a fault, energetic, and extremely hard working, they really took care of us. They were gentle with our furniture and our house. Really took care of us. I also liked that we knew the true cost of the move up front and that there were no hidden costs.

The actual movers did a good job, but the delivery window is ridiculous. We had to live 10 days in an empty house because the pickup had to be so early to guarantee delivery by Christmas. Then scheduling the unpacking took an extra 2-3 days. Overall not happy.

Our movers were able to get our stuff out before Hurrican Harvey hit the shore. They stayed in good contact with us, and got us moved in quickly with no damage to our stuff!

Deliver date was past due. Poor communication from the move coordinator. My bike and several other items were stolen. My boxes were pilfered through and repackaged. Items were broken and chipped. Terrible experience with no resolution to date from any of the Mayflower or Daryl Flood representatives.

Positive experience up until the time of delivery. Items were broken, boxes were smashed, furniture was taken apart, not put back together and pieces are missing. Items marked and pointed out as fragile were damaged. Movers were more interested in rushing through the unload than taking the time to listen to me (the customer). They treated my items carelessly.

Awful. The packing was atrocious. So many broken pictures. Things stacked together with zero care. Clearly the movers just shoved everything around and used the 3 weeks it took to move my stuff to stack fragile boxes on top of each other with no regard. Broken furniture. You guys suck so badly, I will tell everyone to NEVER use mayflower in a long distance move. Thanks for breaking family heirlooms!

I did not have good experience. My shipment was delayed by several days & I was not informed or updated timely. Also, at the time of loading, the drivers were very rude and I have complained about that already. The unloading at destination was however smooth. I was refunded amount for delay but I'm extremely unhappy with the overall experience.

Every step of the move came with its own issues and every one in your organization blamed everyone else or put off the responsibility to someone else. It was a very disjointed move. The problems began with the sales person. Nothing was set up as it should have been from people disconnecting and reconnecting to box removal. The crates we needed were wrong. The loading crew did not get a long and therefore did not work together well. There was a definite weak link and everyone stooped to his level. The driver was great. Both were. The unloading crew had a lot of inexperienced people but even they commented on the poor job the loaders did. the loaders commented on the poor job the packers did! The unloaders left with half the boxes sideways and the work not done. The clock struck 6 and it was as if there was a hard stop I was unaware of. It was BIZARRE!! The sad thing is everyone talks a good game but actions speak louder than words. DEPENDABLE being your slogan angers me!

Great experience, totally professional. Only request: include debris removal at the end of the move in the total price - I've moved 5 times and everyone did this except Mayflower so it was unexpected.

The move was a disaster. A van came already 1/3 packed with another customer's furniture. We had a 5300 square-foot home that need it to go on the van. It did not make it. And of course it would not if you came to my home with a already semi packed van. A second truck had to come and pick up what you guys considered to be overflow. we did not see that furniture for another two weeks. The move was surrounded by controversy of things that needed to be Crated by the third party vendor. But was not put in The original bid. We had the driver for the van truck threatening to not move our furniture if certain things weren't crated. It was a disaster. And to top it all off when we unboxed all of our belongings we had a massive amount of boxes and packing paper that needed to be removed from our home this was not done by Mayflower we had to do it on our own. This move was really bad for us.

Great job from Brandon giving quote, Kathy directing the move. Packers were professional and packed my belonging with great care. The driver was fantastic and worked his butt off with his partner to unload my stuff. Great job to all. Will use you again in the future.

In general, everyone we dealt with was polite, however in each phase of the move, we were not given accurate or complete information and in some cases, we received NO information at all.

Movers lost several boxes and items. Television and coffee table broken. Too many third party companies and contractors involved. Movers complained about the state of the Daryl Flood Houston, TX warehouse. Said it was a mess with people's belongings dumped in piles and no one to discern one from another. Very disappointed in Mayflower. I submitted a claim right away but it wasn't even looked at until I called two weeks later. By that time there was no way to track items as too much time had gone by. Had to continue to call the claims team as they did not respond when they told me they would. They didn't seem to care at all. Finally received reimbursement but not nearly in the amount for what our belongings that were lost were worth. I will be telling friends, family and colleagues to avoid using Mayflower.

Andre was excellent in all aspects of the move. Kept me informed as to when he would pick up and deliver.He kept to his word. Also ,for the most part, took very good care of our furniture.

Scheduled pick up came with a truck that did not have room for all our belongings. Small second truck the next day did not show on schedule but showed up at 7:30 PM. It did not have enough room so a third truck was called and it showed up at 9:30. Our representative Kathy Coffer would not return phone calls and was worthless as a customer support person. After our second load was finally picked up it was stuck in the warehouse for almost 4 weeks and finally arrived 5 weeks after the promised delivery window. This is our 21st move and was by far the most messed up and poorly handled move.

I have yet to receive a response back regarding the second portion of my shipment or any notification from mayflower as to when expect it. It has truly been an horrific experience. Never again!

My move was not good. It started with the crew in Houston, TX damaging my expensive leather couch as they pushed it down the stairwell in my townhouse, damaging not only the couch, but the walls so they had to be replastered and repainted. They dropped a box labeled FRAGILE, opened it and looked at the top piece which was ok, but found they had broken two pieces of heirloom china. They used a bate/switch on the quote, at the last minute, raising the rate $700. The Driver who packed took the liberty of UNBOXING 5 of my boxes, so he could stuff the contents into the holes of the truck so it would fit, WITHOUT my knowledge or CONSENT. What gives them the right to UNBOX my contents??????????????????? EVERYTHING that was unboxed and stuffed was damaged - not unusable but dirty, bent, scraped. Two boxes were lost, the driver said "good luck, they never find these". I cannot say enough BAD things about my experience.

Overall, my experience was good. there were some challenges, including miscommunication to me about moving clay pots, a two-day delay in delivery, and a missing piece to my solid cherry antique dresser. No one seems to be able to find that.

The entire Mayflower team including the drivers and the laborers (at both ends of the move) made our move easy they were fantastic and extremely cooperative. Dan, are driver, was extremely communicative and well-organized it made the entire move a pleasure. I would definitely use Mayflower and especially Dan again.

I was given a 2-week timeframe. However, after my things were picked up I was informed that my items were split into TWO shipments -- something that was NOT agreed upon. I am on my 4th week without my 2nd shipment of things and this is very frustrating and annoying -- I did not agree to a 4-week window to have my items delivered. I signed and paid for 2-weeks. Very disappointed with Mayflower.

From packing to loud out and in has been one of the most stress free and enjoyable moves we have ever had, and this was our 34th move. Jeff Brown is a master at his profession!!!!!!!!!! Exception: 3rd party crate builder on the packing built the wrong box as per the guy on the unload end and he was rude and ask on the phone if he really had to come out on a Sat. couldn't it wait till Monday,,,,, Mr. Brown noticed as well because I asked him "was it me or was the guy rude.."

The move was excellent. Stephen was great! The area that could be improved upon was when the walk through estimate was done. I had to call many times to clarify things. I felt like I ended up doing his job for him. He asked me what he had missed at one point and I felt like he had been here and that was his job. He saw everything when we did out walk-through. Otherwise, everything went beautifully.

The estimate was a little over double the actual cost. Not a big deal because a refund was provided quickly. However, if I had not been under a time constraint, given the estimate was so high I would have gotten additional quotes.

The professionalism of the Mayflower team was exemplary. We appreciated the multiple emails from the Mayflower team that kept us well informed. We were disappointed in the unload at the storage unit. We cannot navigate inside the storage unit to get to boxes at the back of the unit.

Nothing was lost. Hardware for all disassembled items was packed in a separate box and labeled well, so it was difficult to lose hardware or get confused about its purpose.
