ST. LOUIS – Walter Debo III, Debo Moving and Storage, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was awarded Mayflower Transit’s Household Goods East Van Operator of the Year. The award recognizes his outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. Mayflower Chairman Barry Vaughn and President and CEO Marc Rogers presented the award to Debo at the company’s recent conference in St. Louis.
Debo has nearly 25 years of driving experience and estimates he’s driven more than one million miles. Debo said, “I always try to be organized before speaking with a customer because making them feel at ease with the move is priority. Doing the job the proper way, making everyone accountable and always ensuring the customers satisfaction is key.”

There are more than 1,800 drivers in the Mayflower system, and Debo was one of three winners this year. The van operator of the year began in the 1990s to recognize the men and women who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
