ST. LOUIS – (March 25, 2022) – Kevin White, of Sorensen Moving and Storage in Melbourne, Florida, was awarded Mayflower Transit’s Van Operator of the Year Award for the household goods east region. The award recognizes White’s outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. United Van Lines President and CEO Jason Mills along with Chairman of the Board of Directors Charles W. McDaniel presented the award at the Company’s recent Learning Conference held in St. Louis.
In his more than 30 years in the industry, White has driven more than 3 million miles. White began driving before the CDL license as around when you had to have chauffeurs license and he firmly believes in showing respect across the board.
“The secret to my success is to always show everyone respect,” White said. “You need to show respect to your labor, to the customer and it is important to inform the customer of every step of the process from A-Z. I love that I get to move people to a new life, new career, new location and seeing them at the end of it all waving goodbye and saying thank you really means everything.”

There are more than 1,500 drivers in the Mayflower Transit system, and White was one of three winners this year.
