Mayflower Transit’s Parent Company, UniGroup, Elects New Chairman

ST. LOUIS (Oct. 29, 2021) – Mayflower Transit announced today its parent company, UniGroup, C.A., has elected Hilldrup’s Charles W. McDaniel as its chairman of the Board of Directors. A third-generation leader of Hilldrup, McDaniel has been a part of UniGroup’s board since 2015. Charles has been serving as interim chairman since summer 2021.

“Charles has been a successful leader in the transportation industry for decades and has served an important role on UniGroup’s Board of Directors for many years,” Jason Mills, UniGroup interim president and CEO said. “His eagerness to deliver results and develop innovative solutions will be critical as we continue to grow and transform our business. As Hilldrup’s top executive, McDaniel is responsible for overseeing the company’s 900 employee operation across all 12 locations. Prior to his role as Chairman, McDaniel held various leadership positions including vice-chairman and served on a number of Board level committees and advisory groups.
