ST. LOUIS – (March 16, 2022) – Steven Mankie, of Donovan Logistics out of Franklin, Massachusetts, was awarded Mayflower Transit’s Van Operator of the Year Award for logistics. The award recognizes Mankie’s outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. United Van Lines President and CEO Jason Mills along with Chairman of the Board of Directors Charles W. McDaniel presented the award at the Company’s recent Learning Conference in St. Louis.
In his nearly 45 years in the industry, Mankie has driven more than 3.5 million miles. He has a background in hauling household goods but shifted over to logistics enjoys servicing all the server racks and technology from data centers all over the country.
“I love dealing with customers because it’s always a good experience,” Mankie said. “I just like to work hard and do my job to get things done, and apparently I am good at it.”

There are more than 1,500 drivers in the Mayflower Transit system, and Mankie was one of three winners this year. The van operator of the year began in the late 1970s to recognize the men and women who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
