UniGroup Receives Patent for Quoting Technology

Jun 3, 2014 – The United States Patent and Trademark Office recently issued a patent to UniGroup for the method and technology behind Quotes-To-Go^®, a moving quote tool that adds convenience during the moving process. UniGroup is the parent company of Mayflower Transit, delivering full-service to do-it yourself moving and storage solutions.

“This one-of-a-kind technology stems from asking ourselves what tools our customers and agency representatives needed to provide even better service from the very beginning of the move process,” said Casey Ellis, senior vice president of sales. “It was determined that addressing how to make quoting easier and more efficient was a key step. By asking the right questions and engaging the right people, Quotes-To-Go was born.”

UniGroup originally introduced the tool to its agency locations in 2010, with full adoption being completed in January 2012. The web-based tool allows agency sales representatives to offer customers real-time pricing, side-by-side moving quote comparisons and eAcceptance to start the move process without printing paperwork.
