Apr 2, 2019 – ST. LOUIS – Gary Eaves, Dircks Moving & Logistics, Phoenix, Arizona, was awarded Mayflower Transit’s Household Goods West Van Operator of the Year. The award recognizes his outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. Mayflower Chairman Barry Vaughn and President and CEO Marc Rogers presented the award to Eaves at the company’s recent conference in St. Louis.
Eaves has nearly 50 years in the industry and estimates he’s driven more than three million miles in his career. Eaves said, “I believe my success is because of hard work, putting in the time and effort to do my very best every day, and having the discipline and desire to satisfy every customer.”
Eaves resides in Drakesville, Iowa. For a video of Eaves, please visit Mayflower Transit’s YouTube site at: https://youtu.be/FfhDUyNel28
There are more than 1,800 drivers in the Mayflower system, and Eaves was one of three winners this year. The van operator of the year began in the 1990s to recognize the men and women who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
